The Current Job Market Part 1

OMKRQTYRQ6 (1)

Talk to virtually anyone on the street, and you’ll get a seemingly-unanimous verdict that jobs are indeed hard to find.  However, many companies are, in fact, hiring, and some cannot get the man power they need to grow and build revenue. This is partially because the global economy is changing, and many jobs that once existed in large number in America have been consolidated, automated or moved to another country.

Despite the grim tone of this message, there is a bright side: many new industries that did not even exist 10 years ago are becoming important, and will need manpower. Furthermore, some industries that have existed for centuries will need an increase in man power.

Here’s a look at a few industries needing more people in the coming months and years:

Healthcare:

Healthcare will always be a field in which workers are needed. Despite the most wonderful advances in modern science, unfortunately people will keep getting sick and injured. This means that a good doctor will never be unemployed. Doctors require a staff of nurses, administrative workers and machine techs as well as a host of other people. Also, in the coming years, the amount of work that the medical field performs will rise as baby-boomers age and require more care.

Engineering:

Also an old field, this area will be a rich job market simply because it’s hard and not a lot of people want to study math very much in college. While seeing less of an increase in growth than the medical field, engineering will see growth simply because of being less saturated with applicants. Furthermore, engineering is becoming more linked to the health field because of advances in prosthetics and other biomedical inventions. Because of these advances, more people are needed for developing, designing and building new technology.
