Finding passion through the crazy turbulence of life.

turbulence

One might say that goals are extremely hard to accomplish. Life gets in the way of accomplishing most of them. So why try to create a list of goals when life makes it hard to even create the list in the first place?

Growing up I’d never thought of ever studying art. I wanted to be a doctor, or a psychologist. A job that made a lot of money where I would never have to worry about ever being broke. However, I realized just because you have an amazing title it doesn’t mean you’ll make a lot of money. What makes money is the hard work that got you that title.

My mother was an artist but she took on nursing to support me. Unfortunately, she did not have the luxury of completing school and continue studying art. However, through me, I made the goal of becoming an artist for my mother. Art was always in the back of my mind and I didn’t realize it to be my passion until life really hit me.

Life is crazy. It makes you overthink every thing even overthinking. What? Yea life is nuts. What makes it wonderful is having passion. Passion to follow your dreams; having a passion for greatness. Greatness in my belief was under art. To show people how beautiful the world can be. You may find yourself down in the dumps but what usually brings you back up? Music, films, television shows, paintings, anything that inspires you to get back up and keep going.

I’m not saying art is the ultimate career. What I’m saying is passion is the ultimate form of happiness. If you feel passion in what you do then you’re making a difference in your life as well as the life of others. If you don’t then you need to rethink your career.

So how do you find passion? Simple….

1. What is the one thing that evokes so much happiness in your life? Is it taking care of people? Is it writing? Driving? Do you like fixing things?

Whatever it is that makes you happy there is a career waiting for you to take hold of it.

2. Once you realize where happiness exist the next steps are the easiest. Find a great company that can fulfill that happiness or even start something of your own and maybe finally check off “start own small business” on your bucket list.

3. Every great career leads to great success as long as you stay motivated and focus towards your goals. Make your job fun and don’t treat it like a task. A fun career can help your overall mental and physical health. A career shouldn’t create stress but should create a lifetime of happiness.

It’s understandable that things get in the way but how long will you fly through all that turbulence? You can stay put and ride through it but a whole lifetime would have already past. The one thing I learned from the film “Interstellar” is that time is a resource that is easily wasted. Use your free time to get back on track. It’s never too late to start creating a list of goals. It’s a tough ride but as long as you follow your passion you can easily soar through it all and truly feel accomplished once your life takes that final landing.

So put time aside for yourself and find that passion that truly makes you happy. Create your goals and make sure you accomplish them. Stay motivated and make it fun. It will only take  five to ten minutes out of your busy life. So don’t waste time and start creating an amazing new path in your life.

Life has it’s rewards. Don’t see it as a burden but an opportunity to keep striving for excellence.
